Novara’s transactional checkout is not yet live. Products and guide prices on this site are indicative. Availability, final price and delivery must be confirmed directly. The operator’s final legal entity name, company number, registered office, VAT number and trading address must be inserted before public sales begin.
1. What these technologies are
A cookie is a small text file stored on a computer, tablet or phone. Local storage keeps information within your browser. A service worker can cache selected website files so an installable app loads reliably. Similar rules may apply to pixels, software development kits and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, a device.
2. Our current use
The present Novara preview uses device storage only for functions requested by the user. It does not currently activate advertising or behavioural-analytics cookies. When live Shopify checkout, customer accounts, analytics or marketing tools are enabled, this policy and the consent controls will be updated before non-essential technologies are switched on.
| Technology | Purpose | Type | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
novara-cart (local storage) | Remembers products and quantities placed in the basket on the device. | Strictly necessary / user-requested function | Until cleared by the user or browser |
| Service-worker cache | Stores essential app files and Novara images to improve reliability and permit limited offline loading. | Strictly necessary for installed-app function | Replaced when the app cache is updated or cleared |
| Security, session and load-balancing technologies | Protects the service, maintains a requested session and delivers pages reliably. | Strictly necessary | Session or short persistent period, depending on the provider |
| Cookie-consent preference | Remembers whether optional categories were accepted or rejected. | Strictly necessary to respect the user’s choice | Normally up to six months before renewal |
3. Cookie categories
Strictly necessary
These technologies are essential to deliver a service you request, such as keeping a basket, securing checkout, authenticating an account, balancing traffic or recording a cookie choice. They cannot normally be switched off through our consent tool, although browser controls may affect the service.
Preferences and functionality
These remember choices such as language, delivery area, saved products or interface settings. Where the legal exemption does not apply, they will be used only with consent.
Analytics
These help us understand visits and improve performance. Non-exempt analytics will remain disabled unless the user consents. We will identify the provider, purpose and duration in the cookie settings when introduced.
Marketing
These may measure campaigns, build audiences or personalise advertising across services. They will remain disabled unless the user gives valid consent.
4. Shopify and other providers
When Shopify-powered catalogue, account and checkout services become active, Shopify and related payment, security and fraud-prevention providers may use technologies necessary to provide those services. Optional analytics or marketing technologies will be blocked until the required consent is obtained. Provider names and detailed lifetimes will be shown in the live cookie settings following a technical cookie audit.
5. Your choices
You may accept or reject optional cookie categories with equal ease when the consent tool is introduced. Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent access to the core service. You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link that will appear in the footer when non-essential technologies are enabled.
You can also delete cookies, local storage and cached app data through browser or device settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent baskets, accounts, checkout or installed-app features from working correctly.
6. Browser controls and Global Privacy Control
Most browsers allow you to view, block and delete cookies and site data. Controls vary by browser and device. Where legally required and technically supported, we will respect recognised privacy preference signals. Browser settings are not a substitute for Novara obtaining consent where consent is required.
7. Changes and cookie audits
We will audit technologies before transactional launch and periodically thereafter. We may update this policy when providers, purposes or retention periods change. Where a change requires fresh consent, optional technologies will not be used on the basis of an earlier choice.
8. Contact
